Traveling to Italy will widen your horizons for cuisine, culture and beautiful historical sites – such as the Colosseum, Sistine Chapel, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Where can you find all of these heavenly sites? Rome. This city is considered the historic center and is the capital of Italy. It is where you can find numberless historical neighborhoods and heritage sites all in one place, but beside this you can seriously get your feast on! Rome is one of the many cities where you can enjoy a great glass of white or red wine alongside home made pasta and fresh herbs. Beside the outstanding historical sites and exquisite cuisine, Rome is where you can seriously enjoy the local bars, clubs and lounges. A city with high up beat energy, romance and history. (a must-see!…add this to your bucket list too!)
Next let’s take Milan. Considered one of the top fashion capital’s of the world with high-end off the runway shopping, Milan is much more than just that. With its’ massive Duomo di Milano (Cathedral), Basilica of Sant’ Ambrogio (Church) and Museo Poldi Pezzoli (Museum with a beautiful collection of European master paintings), Milan is what some may call the complete package. It is one of busiest cities and the economic powerhouse of Italy. P.S Don’t forget the breathtaking paintings by Leonardo da Vinci – that’s right Milan has the largest exhibition. If your looking for high-end designer shopping, The Adriatic Girl suggest visiting Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. (even if you are not looking to spend a pretty penny – it is a beautiful shopping mall to see – one of the oldest too!)
The Adriatic Girl wants to take you South… All the way to the Bay of Naples, to the island of Capri. Now this is where you can experience a little more adventure – caves, beaches, mountains and hiking are best experienced here! Have you ever watched one of those movies and they are filming at an exotic location and you start wondering if this is even real? Capri’s Blue Grotto is just that – it is this magical cave with the clearest and bluest water you have ever seen!
